Internal Timesheet App

Sheen Reports — Internal Timesheet App

The company needed a way to track what employees were working on — essentially a timesheet system. I was leading a team of four junior frontend developers and one UI/UX designer.

No one was filling out their Excel sheets, and it became a major bottleneck. So I asked myself, “Why not build a simple internal tool for this?”

I envisioned a small web app that team members could log into and enter their tasks in a clean, user-friendly interface — something far more appealing than Excel. The data would be saved in the browser’s local storage to keep things simple and avoid backend overhead.

I had the UI/UX designer create the layout, and I worked closely with one of the junior developers to implement the app. Within a week, we had it running locally on my machine, and everyone could use it.

This small tool helped HR collect timesheets much more efficiently. Most importantly, I solved a real problem.
