One of our sister companies, New Energy for Solar Power, had a pricing system tied to the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Syrian Pound. Every day, someone had to manually check the rate from sp-today.com and update the system.
I realized this repetitive task could be automated.
So I built a Node.js script that fetched the current exchange rate and updated the system with a single click using a button labeled “Fetch The Dollar Exchange Rate.” It scraped the value directly from the source and handled everything behind the scenes.
The admin thanked me, and just like that, another problem was solved.
